An Overview of Maritime Law

Get an update on the laws and current trends for handling all aspects of maritime law.

'An Overview of Maritime Law' offers insight and practical advice to a practitioner presented with a brown water, blue water or offshore energy claim. In the first half of the content, historical and current case law will be discussed in assessing maritime jurisdiction, vessel status and remedies available when an injury occurs. The commercial and transactional considerations for the carriage of goods and cargo will be discussed in the second half of the content. The materials will provide a foundation for the casual maritime practitioner and an update on current law and trends for those whose practice focuses on maritime law.
