Boardroom INSIDER for… MAY

HOW ARE BOARDS USING AI TO BOOST BOARDWORK?

Global corporate board members have heard enough about artificial intelligence over the past year to last them a lifetime, notes the May issue of online monthly Boardroom INSIDER.  But the emphasis in on the board’s role in oversight and monitoring of AI use in the organization.  What’s missing, according to BI publisher and board speaker Ralph Ward – “how can boards make use of AI for their workaday tasks?”

The May issue includes the latest roundup of AI tools coming online to help boards sift and digest company info, monitor risk, develop reports, and give early warnings.  “The potential for governance is huge,” writes Ward, noting that AI ability to parse mountains of data for specific trends alone will “make the board role much easier and boost quality.”  Some of the new board-targeted AI helpers noted include Govenda’s Gabii review app, and Diligent’s AI-powered risk monitor tool.
