Who will this certification benefit most?
This certification is designed to recognize professionals who are working in Human Resources related fields and who are looking to expand their knowledge base.
Can previous Lorman seminars be counted toward this certification?
Yes, any approved seminars taken within the past year can be counted toward the minimum requirements. Please click on seminars for a complete list.
Can teleconferences be counted toward certification?
Yes, teleconferences can be counted toward certification as long as the entire program is completed. Please visit the certification page for information on ways to earn credit toward your HRPD certificate.
How much does certification cost?
There are no additional certification costs above and beyond regular tuition.
What seminars can be used to meet certification requirements?
Any seminars that have been reviewed and certified by the Advisory Board meet certification requirements. All approved courses will be distinguished by the following seal.
How do I get started?
Contact our friendly customer service department at 1-866-352-9540 or email HRPD@lorman.com to determine how many credits you must complete to obtain your certificate and the date you need to complete them by.
How many courses do I need to take?
A minimum of three approved courses must be completed within a two year period.
How do I maintain my Lorman Certification?
Once you obtain your certificate, it is valid through December 31st of the following year. To maintain your certification, you must obtain one additional credit each calendar year to stay current. For a more detailed description, see Keeping Current.
Do I have a commitment?
No. There is no enrollment process and no enrollment fee. Participation in this program is completely voluntary.
If I lose certification can I use past seminars to renew?
No. Once you achieve your initial certification, you must complete another three credits within a two year period.
