Understanding Your Professional Requirements

CPE requirements in Ohio are established and overseen by the Accountancy Board of Ohio, based on recommendations from the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (nasba-group-internet-based) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). As of the latest revision to the standards, all licensed CPAs in Ohio must complete 120 hours of CPE credits every triennial reporting period. Each calendar year, a minimum of 20 CPE credits must be completed. In other words, it is not permissible to put off your training until the end of the reporting period. Fortunately, the board allows for CPAs to earn Ohio CPE credits online through qualifying webinars and self-study options.
